If you start in windowed mode and enter legacy full screen, then all it takes is seeking forward/backward, chapter skip, jumping to a spot in the timeline, or basically any other action that affects the playback point to completely crash IINA. Allowing IINA to start media in legacy full screen causes the app to crash immediately. Legacy full screen should be stable, allowing all functions of IINA like seeking, chapter skip, open media in fullscreen and everything else without crashing.Īll of the listed actions in the expected behavior causes IINA to crash, but only when legacy full screen is ticked. It needs to be addressed if this player has any future, because as workflows get larger and we use up more spaces in macOS, all we want is a player that can utilize the basic feature of legacy full screen. It all stems from legacy mode being completely busted, and it actually used to be perfect. Probably for the last 2-3 years, IINA has gone from my absolute favourite media player to my worst.
